The trustees and staff of Hubbard Memorial Library are pleased to announce some
exciting news!

After months of preparation and searching we have found our new Children’s and Youth
Services Librarian! Kirsten Rasmussen, MLS will join our team on June 15th. Kirsten has her
Master’s of Science in Library Science with a concentration in Youth Services from University of
Kentucky Graduate School. Her previous library experience includes East Longmeadow Public
Library, West Hartford Public Libraries, and Rockville Public Library. We will celebrate with a
community-wide welcome party on June 29th at 11:30 a.m. with food and fun for all.

We also announce our new website, developed by JGPR and library staff. Visit

annual Summer Reading Program. This year’s theme is Unearth A Story. There will be reading
challenges and chances to win prizes! Our reading program is sponsored by: The Friends of the
